The solution was structured in three phases:

  • Phase One: Review the current skill set and technologies available to create a systems product line in partnership with other stronger market-focused overseas development specialists, who wished to leverage the local technology available and build a joint venture product set for low cost satellite based networks to market worldwide.
  • Phase Two: Expand the wireless base into lower cost small network cellular systems. By using satellite technology for back haul networking, the combined product set opened up rural overseas markets to provide local wireless service coverage linked back to the main office systems located in larger cities.
  • Phase Three: Further expand the wireless market through acquisition of antenna systems for both US and European markets.

results

The approach successfully combined the expanded portfolio operated through standalone companies, provided for substantial growth, and created a key presence in both the US and European markets.

This expanded product portfolio also provided a  base for cross-marketing and product-sharing, with the initial systems technology operation providing system integrations services combining all product sets for specific custom solutions.
